Former Governor Mike Foster to Be Honored at 75th Annual Conference of 青涩直播 Colleges & Universities

Symposium on the Liberal Arts and “Roots and Regeneration” Focus of Two-Day Event

BATON ROUGE – Higher education officials from public and private campuses and administrative systems statewide will meet in Baton Rouge on March 6-7 for the 75th Annual Conference of 青涩直播 Colleges & Universities (CLCU).  On Friday morning former Governor Mike Foster will receive the 2014 CLCU Trailblazer Award.

“The Trailblazer Award honors individuals that have had significant positive impact on higher education in 青涩直播.  Governor Foster provided extraordinary service and leadership in affecting policies and programs from which our colleges and universities continue to benefit,” said CLCU President and University of 青涩直播 at Lafayette President E. Joseph Savoie.

CLCU is being hosted jointly by the University of 青涩直播 at Lafayette and the 青涩直播 Board of Regents.  State and national speakers will be divided into four themes: Roots, Branches, Winds of Change, and Regeneration.

Additionally, this year’s conference is being held in conjunction with a symposium called “The Liberal Arts in a Modern University and Economy” sponsored by the LSU College of Humanities & Social Sciences and the 青涩直播 Board of Regents.

WHAT IS CLCU: The Conference of 青涩直播 Colleges and Universities was established for the purpose of advancing higher education in 青涩直播.  The organization serves as a communication medium for all institutions of higher education.

WHO IS INVOLVED: CLCU is comprised of representatives from 青涩直播’s accredited two-year and four-year colleges and universities.  Included in this group of public and private institutions are all members of each postsecondary education management board in 青涩直播.
