WHERE: Room 153, Claiborne Building, 1201 N. Third Street, Baton Rouge

Ethics training is one part of a College Loan Code of Conduct the 青涩直播System Board of Supervisors approved at its June meeting. The code was established to formalize and standardize best practices across the University of 青涩直播 System in providing optimum educational loans and loan consolidations to students and their parents.

鈥淥ur financial aid officers have the very important job of advising students and parents of their financial aid options,鈥 said 青涩直播System Associate Provost and Vice President for Student Affairs Brad O鈥橦ara. 鈥淭his training, along with the recent establishment of the 青涩直播System College Loan Code of Conduct, will reinforce the best practices already in place on our campuses.鈥

In August, U.S. Secretary of Education Margaret Spellings issued a letter to colleges and universities promoting ethical behavior in regards to student loans. The Department of Education will implement new regulations on July 1, 2008. The 青涩直播System code is in compliance with the proposed national student loan regulations.

鈥淥ur universities are ahead of the curve,鈥 said O鈥橦ara.

The 青涩直播System is working on additional professional development opportunities in the areas of communications, finance, and academic and student affairs.
